$2 Billion wasted by Beacon Hill politicians! Wasted on MBTA maintenance department mismanagement, crime lab scandal, toll takers severance package, Mass Health for ineligible residents, welfare abuse/fraud, huge increase in state employees earning over $100,000, health safety net for ineligible residents and many other scams. Oh, and let’s not forget the wasteful $9M makeover of Governor’s Office and Gov. Patrick’s mandated Transgender reassignment coverage that will cost millions. All while the Massachusetts Department of Children and Families is doing a deplorable job. Under the care of the DCF children have died and many have gone missing.
Hi, I’m Joe Monju Republican candidate for State Rep of the 23rd Middlesex District and I want to help clean up the mess on Beacon Hill.
Beacon Hill is populated with far too many lifetime, career politicians who focus more on their own career advancement than they do on the problems and needs of their constituents. Many of these politicians lack the ability or motivation to control costs and reduce spending. Many politicians have no real world working experience and strive only to remain in elected office rather than seek employment in the private sector.
As the cost of government increases at the state level monies that used to flow back to the local communities are drastically cut back. A decrease in Local Aid to communities means an increase in property taxes for the citizens who actually pay property taxes. Remember that money callously wasted by Beacon Hill comes directly from your pockets never to return again. This is money you will never be able to spend on your family. Money you can’t spend on education or entertainment. Money you can’t pass on to your children or grandchildren.
During my life as a parent, grandparent and workingman I have focused my energies on solving difficult problems. Sometimes solutions to problems require sacrifices that are initially unpopular. It takes strong, able leadership to initiate and implement these necessary changes. I have what it takes to get the job done.
I am active in the community serving as an elected Arlington Town Meeting Member and an Arlington Community Emergency Response Team member. My life’s experiences have prepared me to examine difficult issues and devise imaginative, pragmatic solutions. Because of this I am more qualified to represent the people of the 23rd Middlesex than is any lifetime, career politician. In fact, I am far more qualified than is the incumbent. It’s not even close!
